Angélica Isabelle Vargas is a multidisciplinary Miami based artist whose work is centered around the Latina experience. Her paintings speak about the taboos associated with her identity and body as a Latina woman. She utilizes logos, branding, and family photographs that evoke a sense of nostalgia of the latin household. Through her work she explores the way in which commodity and corporate branding has become increasingly tied to post modern Latino diaspora.
